Chiva-Som Hua Hin wins inaugural Thailand wellness services award, reinforcing its global wellness leadership

Chiva-Som Hua Hin has been honoured with Thailand’s first Best Services Enterprise – Wellness Services award, highlighting its status as a pioneering sustainability-focused wellness retreat in Asia.

Chiva-Som Hua Hin has been recognised by Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce with the inaugural Best Services Enterprise – Wellness Services award at the Prime Minister’s Export Award 2026, a distinction presented at Government House on 7 August by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul. For travellers, the accolade adds official weight to what the resort has long marketed as its main appeal: a destination stay built around serious wellness rather than a conventional beach holiday.

Set in Hua Hin, the resort is widely regarded as one of Asia’s pioneering wellness retreats. According to Chiva-Som, it was founded in 1995 by Thai businessman Boonchu Rojanastien and has spent more than three decades refining a model that blends tailored health programmes, specialist therapies and a broader philosophy of physical, mental and emotional balance. That history helps explain why the property continues to appear on major award lists, including Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List 2026 and The Global Spa Awards’ Best Wellness Retreat in Asia.
