Travellers from Southern California can now access cheaper flights to Phuket with Asiana Airlines, featuring a $811 round-trip fare via Seoul, ideal for planning affordable island escapes ahead of peak season.
For travellers in Southern California eyeing Phuket, Asiana Airlines is offering a round-trip fare from Los Angeles to Thailand’s island resort for $811 including taxes, according to The Flight Deal. The deal is aimed at leisure travellers rather than business flyers, and it could appeal to anyone looking for a lower-cost way to reach one of Thailand’s best-known beach destinations without paying peak-season prices. The sample journey runs from November 5 to 12, although availability may vary.
The timing is also useful for holiday planning. The Flight Deal says the fare can be booked for travel in early December or between January and March 2027, though seats are limited and tickets must be bought at least three days before departure. That makes it a potentially attractive option for people willing to plan ahead rather than those booking at the last minute.
For travellers comparing options, the new fare is higher than a similar Asiana sale earlier this year. In March, The Flight Deal highlighted a $795 return from Los Angeles to Phuket with a travel window running from late August to November 2026. A separate January offer covered Los Angeles to Bangkok for $600, showing that Asiana has been using discounted Thailand fares to draw US travellers into its South Korea hub.
The routing is via Seoul Incheon, so passengers should expect a connecting journey rather than a non-stop flight. That means the trip may take longer than some alternatives, but it can also widen date choices and make Phuket reachable at a lower overall fare from Los Angeles. Asiana is a Star Alliance carrier and a United partner, so the trip may also earn mileage in United’s programme, which could matter to frequent travellers looking to collect points as well as save money.
