InterContinental Hua Hin recognised as top pet-friendly hotel at 16th AROUND AWARDS 2026

InterContinental Hua Hin Resort has been named Most Favourite Pet-Friendly Hotel at the 16th AROUND AWARDS 2026, highlighting its innovative approach to family holidays that include pets. The resort offers dedicated pet amenities, a mini train experience, and luxurious accommodation options for animal-loving travellers.

InterContinental Hua Hin Resort has been named Most Favourite Pet-Friendly Hotel at the 16th AROUND AWARDS 2026, a recognition that underlines how strongly the property has leaned into the growing demand for holidays that include the whole family, pets included. According to the resort’s announcement, guests can bring dogs and other small pets into a stay that goes well beyond simple allowance, with a dedicated pet swimming pool, pet-friendly areas in the Art Botanic Garden and even a mini train experience designed to let owners and animals explore together. Sabrina Hofstetter, the resort’s general manager, said: "We are delighted and proud to receive this recognition at 16th AROUND AWARDS 2026. Pets are an important part of our guests’ lives, and our approach is to make them part of the experience. Whether enjoying a swim at our dedicated pet pool, exploring the resort together aboard our mini train or stopping for a curated pet ice cream, these are the little moments that make travelling together even more memorable,".

For travellers, the practical appeal is clear: the resort’s pet policy allows up to two animals per booking, each weighing up to 20 kilograms, with the first pet staying free and a charge applying for the second. The arrangement covers selected room categories, including Classic Rooms, one-bedroom beachfront villas and three-bedroom residences, giving guests a choice between a more straightforward hotel stay and larger accommodation for longer breaks or group trips. The pet-friendly Classic Room measures 45 square metres and comes with a private balcony, a marble bathroom with both a rain shower and a bathtub, and direct access to BluPort Mall. The one-bedroom Club Beach Villa is a much larger 168-square-metre option with sea views, a private infinity pool and a separate living area.

That combination makes the resort particularly attractive for beach holidays in Hua Hin, where guests want easy access to the coast without leaving their pets behind. The resort also adds some family-friendly value through complimentary entry to attractions such as Vana Nava Water Jungle, and in some room categories guests receive club benefits and private breakfast service. For pet owners planning a Thailand escape, the key point is that this is not merely a hotel that tolerates animals; it is a property that has built part of its guest experience around them.
