Phuket Marriott Resort enhances family appeal with new dining and splash zone

Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach has unveiled three new guest venues, including family-friendly facilities and diverse dining options, positioning it as a comprehensive beach holiday destination.

Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach has added three new guest-facing venues that sharpen its appeal for holidaymakers seeking an easy, all-in-one stay by the sea. The new arrivals - Kanpai, La Cala and the Splash Zone - are aimed at travellers who want more choice for dining and family time without having to leave the resort on Tri-Trang Beach. According to Marriott's resort information, the property already combines a beachfront setting with a sizeable room inventory and a broad leisure offer, making the latest additions a natural fit for guests who value convenience as much as scenery.

For dining, the resort now gives guests two more reasons to stay on property in the evening. La Cala brings an Italian menu in a more polished setting, while Kanpai expands the Japanese options available to diners. Marriott says the resort now offers 10 on-site dining venues in total, ranging from international all-day fare and seafood to Thai dishes, casual bars and room service, which makes it particularly practical for families and couples who prefer variety over venturing into town for every meal.

The biggest draw for parents is likely to be the new Splash Zone, a child-friendly water area with a slide and fountains. Marriott also lists three free-form swimming pools, a kids' pool and splash pad, a kids' club and a 24-hour fitness centre among the resort's existing facilities. That mix should suit travellers who want a beach holiday with enough built-in activity to keep younger guests occupied while adults enjoy the spa or poolside downtime.

Beyond the new openings, the resort is positioned as a full-service escape rather than just a place to sleep. Marriott describes the property as a five-star beachfront hotel with 414 rooms and suites, a spa, eco-focused activities such as reef education and a butterfly sanctuary, and sustainability measures including solar energy and marine conservation. For travellers choosing Phuket, that combination of beach access, family features and dining variety makes the resort stand out as a self-contained option with broad appeal.
