Four Seasons in Thailand embraces festive spirit with diverse holiday experiences

Four Seasons resorts across Thailand are celebrating the holiday season with unique cultural events, seasonal dining, and celebrations that highlight local traditions from Chiang Mai to Koh Samui, offering travellers a vibrant mix of tradition and tropical leisure.

Thailand is leaning into the holiday season with a string of festive experiences at Four Seasons properties that mix local culture, seasonal dining and resort-style escapes in Chiang Mai, the Golden Triangle and Koh Samui. According to Four Seasons and its Thailand hotel pages, the programme runs from Loy Krathong through Christmas and New Year, with each destination offering a different setting, from northern river valleys and mountain scenery to a tropical beach on the Gulf of Thailand.

In Chiang Mai and at the Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle, the calendar begins with Loy Krathong, one of Thailand’s most recognisable festivals, when guests can float handcrafted krathongs as part of rituals linked to gratitude and fresh starts. Four Seasons says KHAO by Four Seasons will stage an evening event on 24 November 2026 with a Thai feast, while the Golden Triangle camp plans a riverside celebration with a family-style Kanthok dinner, classical dance, drum performances and a Krathong Sai display. The camp has also highlighted a more sustainable Christmas touch, with decorations made from bamboo and cogon grass to reflect local Lanna traditions.

Bangkok is joining in too. Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River has announced a month-long festive season centred on riverside dining and a New Year’s Eve gala, with menus ranging from Italian-inspired Christmas dinners to Thai farm-to-table meals at Chao Phraya Terrace. The hotel says its New Year event, billed as the Mystical Kingdom Gala Night, will feature a lavish buffet with seafood, Peking duck, Wagyu tomahawk steaks and desserts, underlining how the capital is positioning itself as a festive stop for travellers who want city energy alongside the river setting.

On Koh Samui, the mood is more tropical and informal, with Christmas Eve on the beach, brunches overlooking the sea and a New Year’s Eve party stretching from dinner to fireworks. Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui says its festive line-up includes seaside dining, live music, cocktails and a countdown on the Main Beach, while the resort’s seasonal page shows it also leans into other year-round celebrations such as Lunar New Year and Songkran. For families, the resorts are being pitched as multi-generational getaways with private villas, cultural activities and dining designed to keep children and adults entertained without leaving the property.
