Korean Air is advertising a round-trip fare of $911 from Dallas-Fort Worth to Chiang Mai, giving travellers in Texas a relatively straightforward way to reach northern Thailand on one ticket. The deal, highlighted by The Flight Deal on 29 August 2026, is for economy-class travel via Seoul and includes taxes, with a sample itinerary shown for 5 to 12 November. For holidaymakers, the main attraction is simplicity: one booking, one airline and no need to piece together separate flights to get into Thailand’s second city.

According to the fare rules, the price is available for travel in limited windows from late October to early November, and again from late January to mid-March 2027, with departures and returns on Mondays through Thursdays. Tickets must be bought at least three days before departure, and stopovers are not allowed. The published routing is Dallas-Fort Worth, Seoul and then Chiang Mai, before returning the same way, which makes the journey practical for travellers who want to avoid multiple self-arranged connections.

The fare also compares favourably with Korean Air’s own current public pricing. On its website, the airline lists round trips from Dallas to Chiang Mai starting at $912, while its general Thailand page shows fares from $912 and Chiang Mai-specific searches begin at $812, depending on dates and availability. The new deal therefore sits at the sharper end of the airline’s published offers, and it undercuts a similar Dallas-Chiang Mai promotion from January 2025, when The Flight Deal reported a $932 round trip.

For travellers, Chiang Mai remains one of Thailand’s most appealing entry points. Korean Air describes it as the “Rose of the North”, noting its cooler climate, temples, palaces, hill tribe villages and trekking opportunities, all of which help explain its popularity with leisure visitors looking beyond Bangkok. US citizens do not need a visa for short trips, and the fare is available on a route that can also earn Delta mileage credit, which may matter to travellers who value frequent-flyer points as well as price.
