Le Méridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort is redefining the festive season with a slower, family-centred approach that offers guests a tranquil escape on Thailand’s quieter west coast, featuring beachfront feasts, live music, and extended stay packages designed to foster relaxation and quality time.

Le Méridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort is pitching the 2026-27 festive season as a slower, more family-centred alternative to Phuket’s busier holiday scenes. Set on the island’s quieter north-west coast and within easy reach of the airport, the beachfront resort is aiming to give guests space to unwind, eat well and spend unhurried time together rather than chase a packed schedule.

According to Marriott, the holiday programme will run through Christmas, New Year’s Eve and into the first days of 2027, with beachfront feasts on Christmas Eve, a Christmas Market featuring local artisans and live music, and a New Year’s Eve celebration called The Andaman Lumina Soirée, built around lights, music and dining. The resort says the idea is to create a festive atmosphere without losing the calm, holiday-by-the-sea feel that Mai Khao is known for.

For travellers choosing accommodation, the resort is clearly geared towards families and longer stays. Marriott says it offers 14 room and suite types, including two-bedroom options and selected rooms with pool access or private pools. Each has a private balcony looking out over gardens, the pools or the Andaman Sea, which should appeal to guests who value outdoor space and a sense of privacy as much as resort facilities.

Beyond the rooms, the attraction is variety. Dining options include Ocean Kitchen, J’s and The Nook, while younger guests have a kids’ club and families can fill days with resort activities, beach walks and time by the pool. There is also an Explore Spa and a 24-hour fitness centre for guests who want a wellness element alongside the holiday indulgence.

The resort is also promoting a Long Stay Beach Escape for stays through 30 April 2027, with added perks that grow with the length of stay. Marriott says three-night stays include gelato or popsicles for two and 30 minutes of kayaking or paddleboarding, while seven-night stays can add airport or Central Phuket Floresta transfers, children’s breakfast, a private yoga or Muay Thai session, floating or in-room breakfasts and cooking or fruit-carving classes. For families or couples wanting a festive break that feels more like a real escape than a quick getaway, the package underlines the resort’s appeal as a place to slow down and settle in.
